Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services offers a highly structured, multidisciplinary approach Child Program (ages 5-12) experiencing difficulties with emotional problems and/or psychiatric illnesses.The Child Program is designed to provide the highest level of direct patient care possible, and includes, physical, social and medical treatment interventions. Appropriate referrals are made for the child to continue treatment in the least restrictive level of care possible.Before admission to the Child Program, patients receive a comprehensive assessment of their mental and physical needs to determine the most appropriate level of care. The treatment team, led by the attending psychiatrist, develops an individual treatment plan for each patient. The team meets regularly to review the patient’s progress and to update treatment goals. Family members are encouraged to participate in the treatment team and family sessions.

Leadership and Staff

 Medical Director is a board-certified child psychiatrist
 Program staff includes pediatric nurses and family nurse practitioner
 Attending physicians are child psychiatrists.
 Physical exams and consultations are by family practice MDs
 Therapists have play therapy credentials and unit staff are trained/experienced in the care of children

Separate,distinct pediatric unit designed for the care of children with psychiatric needs

Home Bound School Program
